About
Why we built YouLinker
A short account of the problem that started this, what we believe about audience engagement, and who is behind the product.
How YouLinker came about
Anyone who has taught a course or run a training knows the silence that follows βAny questions?β. It is not that nobody has one. It is that the moment is public, the answer might be wrong, and the safest move is to wait for someone else. Meanwhile the presenter has no idea whether the last twenty minutes landed.
The tools that promised to fix this asked too much of the room. Some needed an app; some needed every student to create an account; most kept polls, boards and handouts in three different products, each with its own login and its own tab. The teacher spent the break juggling windows instead of talking to people.
YouLinker started as a fix for that specific frustration: one browser-based workspace where the presenter prepares everything in advance, participants join with a 6-digit PIN or a QR code, and the polls, quizzes, canvas, pages and files all live in the same place. No installs, no participant accounts, and the presenter in control of what appears on screen and when.
It is built by Linker AI, a team in the European Union that works closely with the teachers, trainers and facilitators who use it.
What we believe
Five things we keep coming back to
They are not slogans. Each one has decided a feature, or stopped one from being built.
Engagement is a design problem
People do not go quiet because they are shy. They go quiet because speaking up costs more than staying silent. Lower the cost β a tap on a phone, no name attached β and the room answers.
Participation should cost nothing
No app store, no account, no password. If joining takes longer than reading the PIN off the screen, half the room has already checked out.
The presenter decides
Tools that take over the session are worse than none. Every interactive element waits for the presenter: when a question appears, when results show, what participants may edit.
Fit the lecture, not the other way round
A concept check every ten minutes, a word cloud to open a seminar, a canvas for a workshop. The tools should bend to the format the teacher already uses.
Privacy by default
Anonymous participants leave no personal data behind, the platform runs in the EU, and we name every processor we use.
What we are building
One workspace for the whole session
Live polls with six question types, quizzes with scoring and analytics, a collaborative canvas with Excalidraw drawing, markdown and interactive pages, file sharing with download counts, chat, a video room and an AI assistant that drafts material from a topic. Participants see a matching view on their own device.
- Join by PIN or QR code, anonymously or with an account
- Presenter-controlled polls and per-object canvas permissions
- A free plan that runs real sessions with up to 30 participants
- Interface in English and Latvian

Who is behind it
YouLinker is developed and operated by Linker AI, a small product team based in the EU. We run the platform ourselves and answer support ourselves, which keeps us close to what actually happens in a lecture hall or a workshop room.
If you teach, train or facilitate and want to tell us what is missing, the contact page reaches the people who build the product. If you would like to work on it, see the careers page.
Try it with the next room you stand in front of
Create a workspace, show the PIN, ask one question. It takes less time than reading this page did.
