Seminars and webinars

Run seminars where remote attendees take part, not just watch

One workspace for the people in the room and the people on the call: video room, screen sharing, live polls, open questions, chat, hand raising and every handout, joined with a single PIN.

Toolkit

Everything the room and the call need

Hybrid sessions fail when remote attendees have fewer ways to take part. Here they have the same ones.

How a session runs

A hybrid seminar from invitation to follow-up

Six steps that cover a closed professional seminar as well as an open webinar.

  1. A week before
    1

    Invite the right people

Create a workspace in the presentation category. For a closed event, switch access to invite-only, add the attendee emails and send invitations with the PIN and join link. Invitation stats show who has accepted.

  2. Day of
    2

    Upload and check

Upload the deck and any handouts, prepare two or three polls (an icebreaker word cloud, a mid-point check, a closing rating) and set the session duration so the workspace stays open for the follow-up.

    File sharing details
  3. Start
    3

    Open the room

Start the video room, share your screen, and show the PIN and QR code on the first slide for the people in the room. Everyone lands in the same workspace.

  4. During
    4

    Ask, then discuss

Run polls in presenter-controlled mode so remote and in-room attendees see the same question. Take open-text questions and raised hands between sections.

  5. Closing
    5

    Collect feedback

A rating or ranking poll takes thirty seconds and gives you a number you can compare with the next session.

  6. After
    6

    Publish the follow-up

Publish a summary page with a permanent or expiring link, keep the files available for download, and review participation and response analytics.

Access

Control who gets in, and for how long

Open the door to anyone with the PIN, limit it to registered users, or restrict it to an invited list. Set a participant limit per workspace and a session duration from a single evening to 30 days. If a PIN leaks, regenerate it and the old one stops working.

  • Open, registered-only or invite-only whitelist
  • Participant limits per workspace, up to 500 on Pro
  • Session duration from unlimited to 30 days
  • Regenerate the PIN at any time

Questions

Questions without the microphone

Remote attendees rarely unmute to ask. Give everyone the same low-friction channels: an open-text poll for questions you answer in batches, the chat for quick clarifications, a raised hand for the ones that need a voice, and reactions for a quick signal.

  • Open-text and word-cloud polls
  • Group chat with reactions, edit and delete
  • Direct messages for private questions
  • Hand raising and typing indicators

Around the event

Before, during and after

The parts of a seminar that usually live in three other tools.

  • Invitations

Email invitations carry the PIN and join link; invitation stats show who has accepted.

  • Presenter-controlled polls

Advance the questions and reveal the results from your screen; the room and the call see the same thing.

  • Feedback

A rating or ranking poll at the end, anonymous if you prefer, gives you a number to compare across sessions.

  • Analytics

Participation, responses and an activity feed per workspace once the seminar is over.

Frequently asked questions

Do remote attendees need a separate video link?

No. The video room is part of the workspace. Attendees join with the same PIN or the link in their invitation and open the room from there.

Can I restrict a seminar to registered attendees?

Yes. Set access to registered users only, or make the workspace invite-only with a whitelist of email addresses and send the invitations from the workspace.

How many people can join?

30 on the free Starter plan, 50 on Basic and 500 on Pro. Enterprise plans have custom limits.

Can attendees download the slides afterwards?

Yes, for as long as the workspace stays open. You set the session duration, up to 30 days or unlimited. For a public handout, publish a page with a permanent link instead.

Can I share my screen and run a poll at the same time?

Screen and camera sharing are part of the session and polls run in the same workspace, so remote attendees follow both from their device while the room watches the projector.

Can anonymous attendees leave contact details?

Yes. Anonymous participants get a generated name and can optionally leave an email address, which is useful for sending the follow-up page.

Host your next seminar in one workspace

Free to start. Attendees in the room and on the call join with the same PIN.
