How it works
From an empty workspace to a live session in three steps
Setup is a few settings, not a project. Most presenters create their first workspace and run a poll in the same sitting.

Set up the workspace
Pick a category, choose who may join (anyone with the PIN, registered users, or an invite-only whitelist), set the participant limit and session duration, and switch polls, files, chat, comments, annotations and notes on or off.

Prepare the content
Create polls and a quiz, upload slides and PDFs, write a page, lay out the canvas. Short on time? Describe the topic and let the AI assistant draft questions, pages and canvas templates you edit before use.

Go live
Show the 6-digit PIN or QR code. Participants join from any browser, anonymously or with an account. Launch polls, open the canvas, share your screen, and watch responses land.
Polls and quizzes
Ask a question, see the split before you move on
Six poll types cover pulse checks and open discussion alike: multiple choice, yes/no, rating, ranking, open text and word cloud. Bundle them into a multi-question poll, or use presenter-controlled mode so the whole room stays on the question you are showing. Quizzes add points, time limits, explanations and per-question analytics.

Collaborative canvas
A board the whole room can edit, on your terms
The infinite canvas takes sticky notes, text boxes, rectangles, circles, images and emojis, connected with arrows in the colors and styles you choose. Per-object permissions decide what participants may add, modify or delete. Named saves capture the board so you can restore it later, and the built-in Excalidraw board covers free-hand drawing.

Pages and files
Prepare material once, hand it out in seconds
Write pages in a markdown editor with headings, tables, code blocks, equations and images, or build interactive pages with animated elements, then publish them with a permanent, expiring or PIN-protected link. Upload slides, PDFs, images and documents into folders; participants preview and download them, and you see the download counts.

Chat and video
Keep the conversation inside the session
Every workspace has a group chat and direct messages with reactions, editing, unread counters and typing indicators. Open the video room for remote participants, share your screen or camera into the session, and let people raise a hand instead of talking over you.

Workspace controls
Settings that decide who gets in and what they can do
Each workspace carries its own rules, so a public webinar and a graded seminar can live side by side in one account.
Access control
Open to anyone with the PIN, registered users only, or an invite-only whitelist of email addresses.
Participant limits
Set a limit per workspace between 2 and 100, within the plan ceiling of 30, 50 or 500 participants.
Session duration
Keep a workspace open for a single session, for up to 30 days, or without a time limit.
Invitations
Email invitations carry the PIN and the join link. Invitation stats show who has accepted.
PIN and QR code
Every workspace has a 6-digit PIN and a QR code. Regenerate the PIN whenever you need a fresh one.
Analytics
Participation, responses and an activity feed per workspace, plus dedicated analytics for each quiz.
AI assistant
Draft poll questions, surveys, quizzes, pages, document blocks and canvas templates from a prompt. Everything stays editable.

Frequently asked questions
What does a participant need to join?
A browser and the 6-digit PIN or QR code. Participants can stay anonymous, in which case they get a friendly generated name and can optionally leave an email address, or sign in with an account when the workspace requires it.
Can I use only part of the product?
Yes. Polls, file sharing, chat, comments, annotations and participant notes are individual toggles in the workspace settings, so a lecture can be polls-only while a workshop opens up the canvas and chat.
How many people can join a workspace?
The free Starter plan allows 30 participants per workspace, Basic 50 and Pro 500. Within that ceiling you can set a lower limit for any workspace.
Does it work for remote or hybrid groups?
Yes. The video room, screen and camera sharing, chat, direct messages and hand raising all work for remote participants, and everyone joins with the same PIN or link.
Can I reuse content between sessions?
Yes. Quizzes can be saved as templates and created again from the template library, polls can be reset and run again, and the AI assistant drafts new polls, quizzes and pages from a topic.
Where is data stored and how is it protected?
YouLinker is hosted on Microsoft Azure in the EU, with files on Azure Blob Storage. Transport is encrypted with TLS, passwords are hashed, and workspaces are PIN-protected. Payments are processed by Stripe, so card data never reaches our servers.
