1.Who we are and how to contact us
YouLinker is operated by Linker AI, based in the European Union. We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy. For any question about your data, email support@youlinker.com.
This policy applies to presenters who hold an account, to participants who join sessions with or without an account, and to visitors of this website.
2.Information we collect
Account information
Information you provide directly when you create a presenter account: your name, email address and profile details. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google.
Participant data
Participants who join a workspace anonymously with a PIN receive a generated display name; we hold no personal data about them unless they choose to enter an email address, for example when a presenter requires participant verification. Participants who join with an account are identified by that account.
Workspace content
Content you create, upload or share in workspaces: poll and quiz questions and responses, canvas objects, pages, files, chat and direct messages, and other collaboration data.
Usage data
Information collected automatically about how you use the service, including your interactions, preferences and device information.
Payment information
If you subscribe to a paid plan, Stripe collects and holds your card details. We receive confirmation of the subscription and its status, not the card number.
3.How we use information
Providing the service
To provide, maintain and improve the platform: running workspaces, delivering polls and quizzes, storing files, and keeping sessions in sync in real time.
Communication
To send you verification codes, password reset links, important updates, security alerts and support messages related to your account.
Analytics
To understand usage patterns and improve the performance and user experience of the service.
AI features
When you use the AI assistant, the text you enter is sent to Google Gemini to generate a draft poll, quiz, page or canvas template. The draft is returned to your workspace for you to edit.
5.Where your data is stored
The application and its database run on Microsoft Azure in the Germany West Central region of the European Union. Uploaded files are stored in Azure Blob Storage. Payments are processed by Stripe.
6.How we protect your data
Encryption in transit
All traffic between your browser and YouLinker is encrypted with TLS.
Passwords and sessions
Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes and cannot be read by us. Signed-in sessions use JSON Web Tokens that expire.
Access controls
Workspaces are protected by a 6-digit PIN that the presenter can regenerate, an access mode (open, registered users only, or invite-only whitelist), participant limits and session duration. Canvas permissions are set per object type.
Payments
Card details are entered on Stripe’s forms and never touch our servers.

7.How long we keep data
We retain personal information only as long as necessary to provide the service and fulfil the purposes described in this policy. When you delete your account, we delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes.
Workspace content may be retained longer if other workspace members have not deleted the shared content. You can request deletion of specific content by emailing support.
8.Your rights
Access and portability
You have the right to access your personal data and to request a copy in a portable format.
Correction and deletion
You can update your information or request deletion of your personal data at any time.
Objection and consent
You can object to certain types of processing and withdraw consent where processing is based on it.

10.Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the “last updated” date above.
